Welcome to Pioneer Pudelpointers!

We chose the Pudelpointer because they are known for being intelligent and versatile hunters. They make great pets because of their friendly and eager-to-please demeanor and because of their loyal and gentle temperament. We knew that for our family, this was a perfect match. We are excited to be able to share the greatness of these dogs with future Pudelpointer owners. We are retired, but still working to raise quality versatile Pudelpointers for people wanting a healthy, well-adjusted, new family member and an all-around great hunting partner.

If you are interested in a puppy from an upcoming litter, we put your name on a list. When pups are born we call people on the list to see if they are still interested. When pups are two weeks old we contact people and make our final list. We send pictures and progress reports to all. We don't require a deposit.

Puppies are ready to go home around eight weeks. In most cases we pick the puppy for the families on the list. We know the pups better than anyone and will know you pretty well by then. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a puppy to anyone at any time.

We prefer not to ship our puppies. Our home is located in Great Bend, Kansas along the Arkansas River in the center of the United States. It is in between Cheyenne Bottoms and the Quivira Wildlife Refuge within driving distance from most states. Turn the puppy trip into a family vacation! We like to meet the people that will raise our puppies. In the event that a puppy must be shipped, an additional cost of $400 to cover the cost of shipping will be due in full by six weeks of age. We ship out of Wichita, Kansas.

Puppies go home wormed and with first shots. We register the litter with the NAVHDA. All will have breeding restrictions until the puppy passes guidelines set by the North American Pudelpointer Association (NAPPA) and ourselves. These guidelines are listed in detail in our puppy contract on this website.

Puppies are guaranteed for any major hereditary problems. If you have any further questions call, write, or email and we will get back to you.
